Getting Started

Subscribe to your favorite websites and blogs

  1. Click Add Feed in the sidebar or go to /feeds/add
  2. Paste the RSS or Atom feed URL
  3. Your feed will appear in the sidebar with unread counts
Tip: Most websites have RSS feeds at /feed, /rss, or /atom.xml. Look for the RSS icon on sites you want to follow.

OPML Import

Migrate feeds from another RSS reader

OPML is a standard format for exporting and importing RSS subscriptions. If you're switching from another RSS reader, you can import all your feeds at once.

  1. Export an OPML file from your current RSS reader
  2. Go to Add Feed and click the Import OPML tab
  3. Drag and drop your OPML file or click to browse
  4. Review the import results showing successful and failed feeds
Tip: You can import up to 100 feeds at once. The importer validates each feed URL and skips any duplicates you're already subscribed to.

OPML Export

Back up your subscriptions or switch readers

Export all your feed subscriptions as an OPML file for backup or to use with another RSS reader.

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Click Export OPML in the Feed Management section
  3. A file named commonrss-subscriptions.opml will download
Tip: The exported file includes all your feed URLs and titles. It's compatible with virtually any RSS reader that supports OPML import.
